Year 10 Work Experience: Key reminders for students

Work Experience Dates: Monday 9 November to Friday 13 November 2026

It’s great to see more students securing work experience placements each week and taking positive steps towards exploring future career pathways. We encourage families to continue discussing placement plans and supporting students to meet upcoming deadlines.

Students who are still seeking a placement should keep reaching out to potential host employers and follow up applications with a phone call where possible. Many of the placements secured so far have come through family, friends and community connections, so a simple introduction or recommendation can often open the door to a valuable opportunity.Key reminders for students this week:

Follow up with any host employers you have contacted
Confirm placement dates and details with your host employer
Submit your completed Student Placement Record (SPR)
Book and attend your Work Experience planning meeting
Check school email daily for any placement opportunities and updates
