Mavis Wang (Year 3) Piano and Theory of Music

Congratulations to Mavis Wang on her outstanding recent AMEB examination results. Mavis was awarded a Pass with Honours in her AMEB Grade 4 Piano examination and achieved a High Distinction in AMEB Grade 1 Theory of Music. These excellent results reflect her dedication, musicality, and commitment to her studies. We are delighted to celebrate Mavis’s achievements and wish her every success in her future musical endeavours.

Maya Tong-Ho (Year 7) French Horn

Congratulations to Maya Tong-Ho on her impressive results at the Ryde Eisteddfod. Maya was awarded 3rd Place in both the Brass Solo (14 Years & Under) and Instrumental Duo (14 Years & Under) sections. These achievements are a wonderful recognition of Maya’s dedication and musicianship.

Congratulations to Dana Hyun on an outstanding series of achievements across multiple eisteddfods. Dana was awarded 1st Place in the 13 & Under Concerto (All Strings) section at the St George Eisteddfod and 1st Place in the Orchestral String Solo (13–14 Years) section at the Ryde Eisteddfod. She also received 2nd Place in the Orchestral String Solo (Open Age) section at the Ryde Eisteddfod and was awarded Highly Commended in the Any Age string section at the Sydney Eisteddfod. We congratulate Dana on these exceptional accomplishments.

Congratulations to Piya Kaur on her outstanding success at the Sydney Eisteddfod, where she was awarded 1st Place in the 15 Years & Under Classical Song section on 7 August. Piya performed La Promessa by Gioachino Rossini from Soirées Musicales, delivering a performance of remarkable artistry and musical expression. We are immensely proud of her achievement.

Congratulations to Grace Liang on her success at the 2026 Sydney Eisteddfod Intercultural Instrument Competition. Grace received a Highly Commended award in the Intercultural Instrument (12 Years & Under) – Guzheng section. She also performed as a member of the Sydney GY Guzheng Ensemble, which was awarded 1st Place in the Intercultural Instrument Ensemble category. We commend Grace on these excellent achievements and her contribution to celebrating intercultural music-making.
