Thank you to the many Year 3 parents and carers who attended our Kindergarten to Year 5 assembly this week. Kindergarten students were absent as they spent the day at Calmsley Hill City Farm. We look forward to reading about their adventures next week.Learning Conversations
Our parent–teacher learning conversations concluded this week with mathematics and specialist teachers. I trust that the opportunity to meet with your daughter’s teachers was valuable.

Our Year 6 girls have been connecting with senior members of our community as part of their service learning. This week, I had the pleasure of visiting St Mary’s Villa in Concord with some of our Year 6 students. It was a delight to see firsthand the benefits for both the girls and the residents. Thank you to Pastor Luisa Bland for coordinating this initiative.
Year 4 Camp
This week, Year 4 ventured to Tallong in the Southern Highlands for their outdoor adventure camp. The girls enjoyed a wonderful bush experience, taking part in bushwalks, high ropes, mountain-bike riding and many other fun activities. During my visit, we were greeted by a friendly local—a wombat that ventured out early to say hello!
MLC School students had the very special opportunity on Tuesday to watch Chelsea F.C. train at Allianz Stadium. Australian football star Ellie Carpenter took the time to give each MLC School girl an autograph. The following evening, the girls watched Chelsea play the A-League All Stars Women’s team. What a fantastic experience, and Chelsea won! Thank you to our Director of Sport, Scott Carpenter, for providing this special opportunity.
Book Week
As you have been reading in our Library News, this year’s Book Week theme is ‘Symphony of Stories’. Our much-loved Junior School Book Parade will be held on Friday 28 August 2028. This year, the Junior School is combining Booralee’s Book Swap Service initiative with Book Week.
Father’s Day Raffle – Prizes Needed
This year’s P&F Father’s Day raffle will be drawn on Thursday 3 September 2026. To make the raffle a success, donations are needed! Donations may include, but are not limited to, hampers, store/hotel/restaurant vouchers, books, fitness products, and self-care products. No perishable or food items please. Alternatively, you may donate money HERE, which the P&F will use to purchase prizes.
