Year 5 Service Leadership Portfolio Project

Throughout Term 2 and Term 3, students in the Junior School Year 5 Service Leadership Portfolio spent their lunch breaks working together to create hand-loomed scarves for people experiencing homelessness. This meaningful project provided students with an opportunity to put their values of compassion and service into action.

On Thursday 17 September, we were delighted to welcome Pastor Luisa to the Junior School to accept the scarves on behalf of the community she supports through her volunteer work in Martin Place. Pastor Luisa shared how much the scarves will be appreciated, particularly as the evenings remain cold, and spoke about the comfort they will bring to those in need.

A heartfelt thank you to the families who donated wool and looms to support this project. Your kindness helped our students make a difference in the lives of others and demonstrated the importance of our community working together in service of others.
