Chaplains Corner

As we come to the close of Term 3, we do so with full and grateful hearts. This has been a week rich with meaning for our School community…. a time to pause, to give thanks, and to celebrate the many moments of learning, friendship, service, leadership, and care that have shaped this term.

 

Most especially, this week has held a tender and joyful significance as we have gathered in different ways to honour, celebrate, and farewell our Year 12 students – the Class of 2026. As they come to the end of this chapter of their lives, we give thanks for all they have brought to MLC School: their gifts, their courage, their questions, their laughter, their leadership, and the light they have shared with us!

 

We are deeply grateful for teachers, mentors, families, friends, and staff who have walked beside them, encouraged them, prayed for them, and helped them grow into the young women they are today. In this farewell, there is both pride and tenderness… gratitude for what has been, and hope for all that is yet to unfold.

 

As our Year 12 students step beyond the familiar rhythms of school life, we send them with our blessing. In the words of our School song, may they carry forward ‘a life here of truth said and kindness done’ – living with compassion, integrity, courage and hope wherever their next pathways may lead.

 

And as this term draws to a close, may we all enter the break with thankful hearts, renewed spirits, and a deep sense of God’s grace holding us together as one community.
