Celebrating Year 12

Year 10 has enjoyed a memorable week and joined the Festival of Year 12 to celebrate our senior students. Sabine Rezainia represented younger siblings in the candle-lighting ceremony. Across the Valedictory Service, Final Assembly, final countdown and guard of honour, Year 10 students conducted themselves with respect, enthusiasm and genuine support for their older schoolmates. We are very proud of the way they embraced these valued MLC School traditions.

Cadet Leadership and Service

Following last weekend’s cadet camp, many Year 10 students completed promotion courses and continued to build their leadership skills. Our Year 10 cadets serve as medics, signallers, officers and leaders, supporting younger students on bivouac and assisting the senior cadet leadership team. We also commend Sabine Rezainia, Dinuli Fernando, Natalia Gardiner, Veronica Pan, Chloe Oh, Mia Waterhouse, Mara Nichols, Ruby Baker, Megan Kuit and Tilly Shipard, who volunteered to sell Legacy badges at Burwood and Strathfield stations. Together, they raised more than $1,200 to support veterans’ families.

Year 10 Immersion

This four-week immersive experience is designed to support students as they reflect on their identity, consider future pathways, and develop practical life skills. Through journaling, career exploration and hands-on activities, students will build a deeper understanding of themselves, their strengths and their aspirations. The program will conclude with students presenting their final projects and future plans to a panel of staff. Holiday Tours

During the holiday break, several groups will depart on exciting learning experiences: the Dance, Drama and Entertainment (DDE) tour to London and Paris, the History tour to Germany and Italy, and the WOW Design tour to New Zealand. We wish all students and staff safe travels and rewarding experiences.

The spring holidays are an important opportunity for students to rest, reconnect with family and friends, and prepare steadily for the examination block in Week 2 of Term 4. Families wishing to access Study Hub+ for Year 10 can find information at Study Hub+. Sessions are held on Level 3 of the Senior Centre, Monday to Thursday from 3.30pm to 6m. Subject clinics for Mathematics, English, Science, HSIE and PDHPE will run during Week 1; students should contact their teachers for details and support.

Return to School

Students return on Tuesday 13 October 2026 at 8.15am in Summer uniform.
