VEX IQ Robotics Competition
On Wednesday 16 September, MLC School students from our VEX Robotics STEM co-curricular travelled to Shore School, North Sydney to compete in our next competition of the season. The students conducted themselves admirably, even assisting teams from other schools and helping them improve their robots and game strategy.
We are proud to say that our two teams were awarded the top two Judges’ Awards: the Excellence Award and the Design Award! This is a fantastic recognition of their efforts and growth throughout the season, particularly as most of our students are participating in their first season of VEX.
The Excellence Award is giving in recognition of a team being considered the best all round in the competition, including points scored, quality of their engineering notebook, evidence of student understanding, teamwork, and attitude.

The Design Award is given in recognition of a team that has a strong engineering notebook that clearly displays the team’s engineering-design process throughout the season, evidence of student understanding, teamwork, and attitude.
