Year 2 Shoebox Museum

On Monday, Year 2 welcomed parents and families to our Shoebox Museum, where students stepped into the role of museum curators to showcase their learning about a significant woman from history. Students researched inspiring women such as Marie Curie, Jane Goodall and Ada Lovelace, investigating their achievements, the challenges they faced, and the impact they had on the world.

As part of the project, each student created a detailed diorama depicting an important scene from the life of their chosen woman, complete with relevant artefacts and displays. During the museum experience, students confidently shared their research findings with visitors and responded thoughtfully to follow-up questions about their subject.

The students thoroughly enjoyed learning about these remarkable women, whose perseverance, courage and determination closely reflect our school motto, ‘Dare to Be More.’ We were incredibly proud of the knowledge, creativity and enthusiasm they demonstrated throughout the project.
