St Dominic’s Feast Day celebrations

Semester 2 is off to a wonderful start, and there was no better way to begin Term 3 than through the many musical contributions shared during our St Dominic’s Feast Day celebrations. The occasion was a timely reminder of the unique role music plays in nurturing spirituality, fostering belonging and strengthening community, while also serving as a vibrant expression of culture and identity.

My sincere thanks to all students who sang and played so generously in service to our College community.

Sydney Opera House performance

Following the success of the 2026 Gala Concert, the Chamber Choir and Chamber Orchestra were honoured to receive an invitation to perform at the Sydney Opera House as part of a China-Australia Concert celebrating cultural exchange and collaboration.

Our students represented the College with maturity, poise and artistry, earning high praise from event organisers and dignitaries for both their musical excellence and professionalism.

Celebrating 10 years of Dominican Education Australia

Students were also privileged to contribute to the celebration of Dominican Education Australia’s 10th Anniversary, presenting the Dominican Hymn, Laudare Benedicere Praedicare. Through music, they honoured the rich Dominican tradition that continues to shape our College community today.

Industry Recognition

This Friday, several of our advanced musicians will work as session musicians for Willow Publishing, documenting the music of acclaimed composer and producer Michael Harvey for international distribution. Their selection for this project is a wonderful recognition of their musicianship and the high regard in which they are held by and as industry professionals.

Looking Ahead

On Friday evening, members of the Chamber Orchestra will help set the atmosphere and welcome guests to the College Gala Dinner, once again happily sharing their talents in service of their community. We look forward to their contribution to this special celebration!
