Primary VEX IQ Robotics Competition

Our Years 3-6 students proudly represented the school at their first VEX IQ Robotics Competition at Trinity Grammar on Wednesday 29 July, where they worked collaboratively to tackle a range of robotics challenges throughout the day. Competing in eight teamwork matches, three skills challenges and a judges’ interview, students demonstrated critical and creative thinking, problem-solving abilities and teamwork. The event provided an authentic STEM learning experience, building confidence, resilience and communication skills.

A highlight of the day was the opportunity for students to connect with peers from other schools, sharing ideas, strategies and solutions while learning from one another in a supportive and competitive environment. We were especially proud that one of our teams was awarded the Inspire Award, an honour presented to a team that exemplifies the spirit of VEX through passion, positivity, teamwork and perseverance. This achievement reflects the dedication and enthusiasm shown by our students throughout the competition. We congratulate every participant on their efforts and sportsmanship and look forward to supporting them as they continue to build their skills and compete in future events throughout the year.
