Year 8
Week 3 was our first full 5 day week of the term, and it was another busy week! On Monday Year 8 had Anna Michalopoulos, the Head of Counselling. She spoke to the cohort about friendship and how to navigate challenging friendships. It was very useful and I know many of the students found it helpful.
On Wednesday we had our first Year 7 – Year 9 Meeting in the gym, and was a wonderful event run by the Middle Years Leaders. We aim to hold these once a term, and in no time it will be Year 8 becoming Year 9 and our new Middle Years Leaders! And on Thursday Year 8 had Big Sister Little Sister, always a highlight. It’s been great to see these vertical connections continuing to build and helping our students find broader connections.
Week 4 (starting Monday 11 May 2026) sees a couple of assessments and the introduction of the Year 8 Immersion, which I know the girls are very excited to hear about.
Have a lovely weekend, and please reach out to the Luminary or myself if you have any concerns.
There are a number of significant events coming up later this term. Please see some key dates below for your diary:
