Café 1886 and Junior School Canteen Update

During Term 2, MLC School and Catercare undertook a comprehensive review of menu pricing. 
 
Catercare has advised that ongoing increases in food, supplier and operating costs continue to affect the delivery of cafe and canteen services. 
 
As a result, some menu prices will increase in the coming weeks. The review has focused on keeping increases as modest as possible while maintaining the quality, variety and sustainability of the food service available to students and staff. 

Particular consideration has been given to ensuring that healthy, everyday options remain affordable.
 
We recognise that many families continue to face cost-of-living pressures and have worked closely with Catercare to ensure the cafe and canteen remain sustainable. We have prioritised the School’s responsibility to use funds wisely to benefit our students’ teaching and learning above subsidising cafe and canteen menu items.
 
The updated pricing will be reflected in the ordering system soon. We thank you for your understanding and ongoing support.
