….. and Tell Zoom: Our Countries: ‘Our country’s natural wonders’

The opportunity to speak with students from around the world during a Show and Tell Zoom call was quite nerve-racking, as I had never previously connected with students from distant cities and countries, including Thailand, India, and Northern NSW. We shared several of NSW’s natural wonders, including Jenolan Caves, the Blue Mountains, the Kiama Blowhole, and Sydney Harbour, and we taught others about Australia and the unique environment in which we live, including native animals and plants, and our significant milestones. At other times, I may have declined this opportunity to speak about our state and country; however, this experience has encouraged me to embrace a challenging task that I would not otherwise have attempted. It was a privilege, in my role as Environment Captain, to represent MLC School on a Zoom call with students across the globe. Thank you, MLC School, for providing this wonderful opportunity, which I have greatly enjoyed.

The Round Square Show and Tell Zoom call was a wonderful experience. Learning about other countries and their natural wonders was so interesting. It was fascinating to learn about India, Thailand and other parts of Australia. We talked about Sydney Harbour, the Blue Mountains, the Kiama Blowhole and the Jenolan Caves, natural wonders in NSW. My partner and I worked together to research our information, and we loved presenting it.
