Year 2

The power of kindness and inclusivity

Year 2 stepped inside the iconic Life Education van to visit Healthy Harold for an engaging session all about building positive relationships. Guided by Harold and the educator, the students paired up and joined in with their classmates to play interactive games that put team building into practice. Through these fun, hands-on activities, the children explored what makes a great friend, learning that trust, active listening and sharing are key ingredients for growing healthy, supportive connections that make everyone feel safe and happy.

A central focus of the visit was understanding the power of kindness and inclusivity both in the classroom and on the playground. Harold showed the students how small acts like inviting a classmate to join a game, offering a helping hand, or using encouraging words can instantly make a huge difference in someone’s day. Year 2 walked away with a clearer understanding of how to celebrate each other’s differences, stand up against left-out behaviour and actively create a welcoming environment where every friend feels valued.
