Building strong foundations: letter formation in Prep

Our Prep students have been working hard to develop their letter formation skills as part of our Pre-Lit Program. Through explicit instruction and regular practice, students are building confidence in correctly forming letters, an important foundation for reading and writing success. One of the key tools we use each day is individual whiteboards, which provide students with valuable opportunities to practise letter shapes, pencil movements and handwriting patterns in a fun and engaging way.

Science Week sparks curiosity and explosive learning!

In Science, Prep students enjoy participating in hands-on experiments each week to explore the world around them. This week was particularly exciting as we celebrated National Science Week across Australia. After investigating the concept of bubbles and learning about where they come from, students eagerly took part in a spectacular Coke and Mentos Bubble Explosion experiment. The students made predictions, observed the chemical reaction, and discussed what they noticed as bubbles rapidly formed and burst from the bottle. It was a wonderful opportunity to encourage curiosity, scientific thinking, and a love of discovery.
