Community Time Bullying No Way – National Week of Action
During Community Time, the Gioia House students worked with their House buddies, focusing on the ‘Bullying No Way – National Week of Action’. Our students engaged in meaningful discussions about kindess, respect, inclusion and the importance of being an upstander.
Through a range of creative activities, students worked in pairs to develop posters, write a song or rap, or create a kindness challenge to demonstrate ways we can make everyone feel valued, be inclusive, be respectful in our words and actions, and stand up for what is right.
It was wonderful to see our Gioia House students working together to promote a positive culture of kindness, respect and belonging, while recognising we have an important role to play in making our school a safe and supportive place for everyone.

Gioia House Be Active – Sports Rotation sessions
Our Gioia House students have been enjoying our Be Active – Sports Rotation sessions, developing their skills, fitness and teamwork across a range of different sports. Students are participating in Basketball, Volleyball, Hockey and AFL sessions led by experienced coaches from different sporting organisations. Our teachers are also supporting each rotation and developing their own skills. We also have an Athletics & Fitness activity and Dance rotation, led by our talented teachers.
It has been wonderful to see our students embrace new challenges, work collaboratively and encourage one another. Some students have shared that they have enjoyed trying a new sport, while others have enjoyed being part of a sport they love and are familiar with. Well done to all our Gioia House students for getting involved and giving their best.
