Gioia House Instrumental
Our Gioia House musicians continue to shine as they move into Week 9 with focus, enthusiasm and a wonderful sense of teamwork.
Mini Maestros in both Year 5 and Year 6 are steadily working towards their Term 4 performances.
- Year 5 Mini Maestros are polishing selected works from Essential Elements, strengthening ensemble skills, rhythmic confidence, and collaborative music‑making.
- Year 6 Mini Maestros are rehearsing pieces from Essential Elements alongside A Shaker Hymn, developing blend, balance, and musical independence as they prepare for their final Term 4 performance.
Our Gioia House Strings are looking forward to their combined Breakfast Concert with Sinfonietta, now scheduled for Monday 21 September. Together, they will form an orchestra of almost 200 performers, presenting Festival Fanfare by Kathryn Griesinger – an uplifting and energetic work that celebrates their growing confidence and ensemble cohesion.
Gioia House Choir
The Gioia House Choir is singing beautifully as they prepare for a busy and exciting performance season.
Students are continuing their Term 4 repertoire: Lakeside Lullaby and I Found Something I Was Searching For by Pink Zebra, focusing on tone production, breath support and expressive phrasing. As we move further into the term, the choir will also begin preparing repertoire for their Thanksgiving Mass, shaping warm tone, unified vowel sounds, and clear diction to support meaningful liturgical singing.
Their commitment, teamwork, and joy in music‑making continue to shine each week.
