Acknowledgement of Country

Respecting the Traditional Custodians of the land is something our Kindergarten students practise daily as part of our Morning Meeting. This term they had the chance to share that respect, delivering the Acknowledgement of Country at our Del Monte Public Speaking finals. 

With calm, confident and reverent voices, they acknowledged the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our school stands and paid respects to Elders past, present and emerging. They led the school in our Kindergarten actions to accompany the Acknowledgement and took pride in seeing the older students copying them. 

When asked what the Acknowledgement of Country means to them, they shared:
