Curriculum update

The end of Term 3 has arrived much sooner than expected. It has been a wonderful term of teaching and learning, filled with memorable experiences including our Book Week celebrations, Public Speaking Program, Year 3 incursion, Year 1 excursion and many other enriching opportunities along the way.

Last Thursday, we celebrated the culmination of our Public Speaking Program, which was beautifully opened with an Acknowledgement of Country presented by Kindergarten. Congratulations to all of our Public Speaking finalists from Years 1 to 4. It has been truly rewarding to witness the growth and progression of public speaking skills across the grades.

We would also like to congratulate every student who participated in the program from Week 4 through to Week 8. The courage, persistence and willingness to take risks demonstrated by our students throughout the process were commendable. We especially congratulate Sophie, Abbie, Alice and Sabrina for being the finalists in their respective grades.

Over the next two weeks, teachers will be finalising units of work and preparing students for a successful start to Term 4. During parent-teacher interviews, families will have the opportunity to discuss their child’s progress and learning goals for the remainder of the year. Teachers will share samples of work that showcase and celebrate the growth students have made since Semester 1. We look forward to sharing these achievements with you and encourage you to bring along any questions you may have.
