During the first seven weeks of Term 3 on a Thursday, MSCW competed in the SCS AFL competition. The Junior, intermediate and Senior teams demonstrated outstanding skill and commitment against tough competition from Domremy, Holy Spirit, Brigidine and St Ursula’s at Meadowbank Park. 

All three teams were extremely successful winning throughout the season with some close losses too. The Intermediates team won their final against Brigidine 42-18 while the Juniors unfortunately lost against Marist College North Shore 22-34. The Senior team competed each at Maroubra against Brigidine, Our Lady of Sacred Heart, Bethlehem and St Clares. The Senior team faced tougher competition during their season and unfortunately lost their final against Brigidine Catholic College 8-45.

SCS Senior Cricket

During term 4 the Senior Cricket Team represented MSCW in the Sydney Catholic Schools Thursday Cricket competition. An exciting first for the College with the game taking place at Weil Park. The MVPs during the season were Elsie Gray, Alicia Jordaan and Isabella Cicciari. The team was very successful, winning all their games which advanced them to the Grand Final in week 6. Excitedly the final was successful, versing Our Lady of Sacred Heart, Kensington. MSCW took the win being 0/70 and OLSH being 5/20, Most Valuable Player of the Game being Sophie Marino from Year 10.
