Lord of the Flies – A Year 11 Drama Production

Year 11 Drama 2 have been diligently working this term to put together a production of Lord of the Flies as their final preliminary assessment.
Tackling this text with a feminist lens, girls have looked at just how persuasive the pull of popularity can be. With the boys’ choir becoming a girls Hockey Team, the dynamics on the island take on a pink hue as the gore of girlhood is on full display.
Students have not only been working on the performance elements of this show, but have designed the costumes, set, lighting, program, posters and more! All production elements have been under their expert control.
The show is a one-night wonder taking place on Thursday 10 September 2026 starting at 6pm and finishing by 7.30pm in the MLC School Drama Theatre. Tickets are free – just come along on the night to watch the girls in a killer performance!
