House Rowing Challenge Delivers Excitement and Determination

The MLC School Gym was buzzing with energy as students competed in the annual House Rowing Challenge, one of the many events contributing valuable points towards the prestigious G. A. Davey Cup.

Representing their Houses with pride, six students from each House took on the challenge of rowing 500 metres each on an ergometer (indoor rowing machine). With every metre completed, teams demonstrated determination, resilience and teamwork as they pushed themselves to achieve the fastest combined time possible.

The competition proved to be one of the most exciting House events of the year. The lead changed hands several times throughout the challenge, with Houses continually responding to strong performances from their rivals. Students, staff and supporters were kept on the edge of their seats as the results unfolded.

After a fiercely contested battle, Leawarra emerged victorious, producing a strong team performance to claim first place. Sutton finished in an impressive second position, while Mooramoora secured third place after a spirited effort.

Beyond the final placings, the event showcased the enthusiasm, sportsmanship and House spirit that are such important features of life at MLC School. Congratulations to all students who participated and contributed to a memorable afternoon of competition.

With G. A. Davey Cup points on the line and plenty of House pride at stake, the House Rowing Challenge once again proved to be a highlight of the co-curricular calendar.
