Diving
Swimming
Over the weekend, three MLC School students competed at the 2026 Sydney Open Meet, delivering outstanding performances across multiple events.
Isabel Floro (Year 10) competed in the 100m Freestyle and 50m Freestyle, achieving an impressive personal best time in the 50m Freestyle. Hailey Leung (Year 12) competed strongly in the 50m Backstroke, finishing 17th overall.
Madison Chantler (Year 11) also performed exceptionally well, competing in the 100m Butterfly and finishing 14th overall with a personal best performance. She then backed up in the 50m Backstroke, recording another personal best time to place second overall and proudly secure the silver medal.
Congratulations to all MLC School students who competed at the UniSport Nationals / Sydney Open Swimming Championships held at SOPAC over the weekend.
Water Polo
Congratulations to Zoe Pollard from (Year 12) on her selection in the NSW State Water Polo Squad. Zoe represents the very best of NSW Water Polo, and her selection is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence within NSW Water polo’s state’s performance pathway.
Fencing
MLC School students showcased outstanding skill, determination, and sportsmanship at the recent R. Nutt Sabre Fencing Championships. Competing against strong opposition from across the region, our students demonstrated confidence and composure throughout the competition. Congratulations Yerina Kang (Year 11) on winning a medal at the R. Nutt Sabre Championships recently, a fantastic achievement!
Gymnastics
Edie White (Year 7) recently competed at the Artistic Gymnastics Senior State Championships. Edie competed in the strong Junior division and placed 6th on vault and was supported by many of her MLC School Gymnastics squad members showcasing the strong commitment to their team member and sport.
In addition Tamara Abdelrahim (Year 10) also competed at the same event and placed 4th on Bars in the Senior division.
