Year 7 PDHPE Update

Year 7 PDHPE Update

It’s hard to believe, but Year 7 is almost finished with their first term in Personal Health, Development and Physical Education (PDHPE). It has been wonderful to see them grow in confidence. During the invasion games unit, students have actively participated in various game-based challenges to improve their movement skills and develop crucial teamwork, communication, and strategic thinking abilities. Their enthusiasm and curiosity have been appreciated.

In theory lessons, students have engaged in the “Choosing Wisely” unit, using a strengths-based approach, students have explored the factors influencing their health choices in the areas of nutrition and physical activity, empowering them to make informed lifestyle decisions.

This week students will begin their first assessment task in class, designing a food truck with a healthy menu. This promises to be a fun and educational project that encourages healthy choices. We are excited about the many engaging learning opportunities in store for the rest of the year. From striking games to gymnastics there’s plenty of fun on the horizon for Year 7!
