Junior School Swimming Carnival

INFORMATION FOR SWIMMING CARNIVAL

Date:  Friday 5 April 2024

Venue: MLC School Aquatic Centre

Time: 9.30am – 2.30pm

The class teacher will walk students to the Aquatic Centre at 9am.

Students should wear their MLC School Sports uniform, with their House coloured polo shirt, which is available from the Uniform Shop.

School swimming costumes should be worn to school underneath sports uniform.

House swimming caps will be provided. Girls will need to wear their play hat or cap.

Students should pack a healthy lunch. The vending machines in the aquatic centre are not to be used.

We kindly request that parents do not bring any fast food into the Aquatic Centre for their daughters.

Students should bring goggles, a towel and a plastic bag for wet items should be supplied from home. Please ensure that ALL items of clothing are clearly labelled.

Students have been entered into events based on their swimming assessments during PE lessons and during previous time trials.

Students are encouraged to participate in all events to receive House points.  House points will be awarded for House Cheers throughout the day.

If students are in a Championship race, they cannot enter their year group race for that stroke. (Students can only swim once per stroke).

At no stage are students allowed to leave the Aquatic Centre.

At the conclusion of the carnival, all students will be walked back to Junior School by their teacher for dismissal.
