Year 11

We’ve been blessed with lovely weather and good spirits for the final week of Term 2. In Pastoral Care this week, the Year 11 girls have spent time with their House groups decorating thrones for Illuminate. This annual event, showcasing the artistic endeavours and talents of the Design, Art and Technology subjects, will be open for girls to attend on the Thursday 23 July 2020. Luminary groups have also spent some time reflecting on and celebrating a highly successful finish to what has been a very challenging term.

As well as looking forward to their holiday, I know that the Year 11 girls are also looking to what lies ahead, with their coming final term as Year 11s. Term 3 will bring new opportunities to stand up and serve and lead, as well as the challenges that come with transitioning towards their final year of schooling. However, while there is a lot to look forward to, it’s important that we also take some time to rest and reflect on the past few months.

Again, I want to take this opportunity to commend the girls for the wonderful way that they have handled themselves this term, and the flexibility, understanding, and resilience, that they have shown. As an educator, I have honestly marvelled at the way they have handled themselves this term, and I hope that all families and girls have a safe and enjoyable break.
