Teacher Appreciation Week

Last week, the Student Representative Council (SRC) had the pleasure of coordinating Teacher Appreciation Week, an event first initiated by the 2019 SRC team and eagerly carried on by our representatives this year.

Teacher Appreciation Week was the chance for girls to get involved again within the School community and to show their gratitude for their teachers who had gone above and beyond, especially during online schooling.

Looking around the School last week, you could see the immense gratitude and appreciation that the student body has for the teachers who have played a significant role in their education and their growth in life.

Girls worked together with teachers in the Teacher Student trivia, wrote words of gratitude and kindness on our Staff Appreciation Notes, and dressed up as their favourite teachers on Friday 18 June 2020, which was also Kindness Day.

This week we also saw the closure of the World’s Greatest Shave. Despite all of the setbacks, the team of staff and girls was still able to pull together a phenomenal effort, raising a total of $16,533 for the Leukaemia Foundation! The strength and commitment of all of these girls and teachers, who put their hair on the line for this awesome cause, is greatly appreciated.

A massive thank you to everyone who was involved in Teacher Appreciation Week, whether it was helping to run the activities, distributing the kindness notes, editing videos, and handing out stickers, the week could not have happened without each and every one of you!
