World Teachers’ Day
Today we celebrate World Teachers’ Day. I would like to thank all our dedicated MLC School staff for the care and support they provide to our students. My thanks also go to our P&F and wider parent community for your kind words of appreciation. Your encouragement, together with the joy of seeing your daughters reach their potential, is the greatest gift we could receive on World Teachers’ Day.

Parking and School Drop-off
Thank you to all our families who follow our car park procedures. We are very fortunate to have such a quality facility at MLC School. Please remember that drop-off and pick-up are not permitted on Park Road. Parents and carers are welcome to park in our car park and walk onto the Junior School grounds between 8am and 8.30am, and to purchase a coffee from the canteen. All-day parking is strictly prohibited, and vehicles are checked and monitored.

Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 Swimming
This week, our youngest learners made a splash in our Aquatic Centre, while their teachers were extra busy looking for missing socks! On Friday 6 November 2026, our Kindergarten to Year 2 Intensive Swimming Program will culminate in our annual Splash Day. Please refer to the Compass Parent Portal for more information and to provide consent for your daughter to attend.

Year 3 Outdoor Adventure
This week, Year 3 enjoyed their first overnight outdoor adventure camp at Stanwell Tops. The girls took part in a range of activities, including bushwalking, wall climbing, the giant swing and the climbing tower. Students and teachers alike had a wonderful time, and I have no doubt the girls will sleep well tonight! Please look out for the story and photos in next week’s edition.

Year 5 Canberra Immersion
I joined Year 5 on their Canberra immersion experience exploring democracy. The girls had the opportunity to see Question Time in action in the House of Representatives at Parliament House. We also spent time with our local federal member, Sally Sitou (Member for Reid), as well as Simon Kennedy (Member for Cook). Other highlights included visits to the Australian Mint, the Museum of Australian Democracy, the National Electoral Education Centre, and the Australian War Memorial, as well as an evening visit to the Australian Institute of Sport.

Year 6 also ventured to the South Coast this week for their ‘Making Waves’ adventure camp at Gerringong. The girls enjoyed beach volleyball, learning to surf and many other fun activities away from home. Click here to view the full article.
