From the Head of Junior School

It has been another busy and rewarding week in the Junior School, with valuable opportunities to connect with families, celebrate student achievement and reflect on the teaching practices that support strong learning outcomes.

Learning Conversations

This week, the Junior School hosted Parent/Teacher Learning Conversations with grade teachers and many of our specialist teachers. I trust that the opportunity to meet your daughter’s teachers, either online or face-to-face, was valuable. If your daughter has a different Mathematics teacher, you will have an opportunity to meet with them next week in most grades.

Wakakirri

On Wednesday evening, our co-curricular dance students from the ballet, jazz and contemporary ensembles competed in the Wakakirri Story Dance Challenge. This year’s theme, ‘Guardians of Us’, celebrates everyday heroes, empathy and kindness. We thank our dedicated Dance Department and congratulate all the girls who participated. Write a Book in a day

Last Friday, 50 enthusiastic students from Year 5 to Year 9 gathered in The Whitley Room to take part in Write a Book in a Day, an annual creative writing challenge and fundraiser supporting The Kids’ Cancer Project. Click here for the full story.
