MLC School Sport – Junior IGSA 2027 Updates

MLC School Sport is excited to be moving to the Junior IGSA Competition. We are thrilled to be providing the opportunity for our MLC School girls to have a strong school sport offering and pathway from 2027.

Junior IGSA will continue to strengthen systems and communication, improve consistency across sports and enhance venue, officiating and operational support. Junior IGSA aims to continue long term engagement in sport, highlighting growth in participation and enjoyment in sport.

Junior IGSA will operate with an app system where all draws, ladders, wet weather details can be found in one place. Sport offerings provided by Junior IGSA will be in line with the previous Junior School Sport system. Please see below sport possible opportunities across the 2027 terms:

- Tennis

MLC School is supportive and excited for this new competition pathway. As we move forward into 2027 and beyond, all Junior School Sport will be conducted under the Junior IGSA Competition Pathway and we look forward to seeing our MLC School students thrive with new and exciting opportunities.

Term 1 Competitive Sport Registrations Open, Wednesday 4 November

Next week, Wednesday 4 November, a user guide will be sent out on the newsfeed section of Compass, regarding Competitive Sport Registrations for Term 1 2027. This will highlight registrations for Competitive Sports only, and it is here that you will be available to register. This will allow our Sports Department to plan for trials, teams, and divisions ahead of 2027. Registrations will close Week 5, Friday 13 November.

Please note, families in Junior School will be selecting the Junior IGSA option for Sport.

All Co-Curricular Registrations will be available at a later date as teams and trials are not required for these sporting Activity Selections.

Splash Day Swimming Carnival (Kindergarten – Year 2)

MLC School Sport is looking forward to hosting our Kindergarten – Year 2 Annual Swimming Splash Day Carnival on Friday 30 October 2026. We are looking forward to sharing results from the event and wish all our students competing the best of luck!
