Year 10 OLE Week Snowy Mountain Adventures

Round Square Outcomes: Adventure and Environmentalism

We are excited to propose a 5-night outdoor adventure program for Year 10 students in OLE Week 1, Term 4.

This program focuses on building skills, resilience, and teamwork through activities like mountain biking, backcountry skiing and canoeing with opportunities for Service Learning.

Activity Options (TBC):

  1. Alpine Backcountry Expedition: Learn snowshoeing and skiing, followed by a multi-day alpine camping trek.

or

  1. Mountain Biking & Paddle Expedition: Develop Mountain Biking in the incredible Snowy Mountains and then embark on a guided paddle camping trip.

Service Integration

A service-learning component, such as environmental conservation or community projects, will be included to add depth and meaning to the program.

  • Dates: OLE Week, Monday 13 October 2025 to Friday 17 October, 2025
  • Location: Bungarra Alpine Centre Alpine staying with Adventure Learning Initiatives;
    ALI – Bungarra Alpine Centre
  • Cost: Approx. $1,600-$1800**

This program promises a unique blend of adventure, skill-building, and community impact.

Finalised details of the program will be possible once students and parents have completed the Expressions of Interest and the College can liaise with the relevant families.

** NB: Year 10 Students can put the Distinctives Levy towards the cost of this trip. Use of the credit can only be applied to one trip in 2025.
