SCOPE 12

SCOPE is a biannual publication that showcases student writing about arts practice and provides compelling insights into the art world through reviews, critical writing, and interviews. It is a student led initiative that aims to bring all aspects of the artworld into focus and provide critiques and details of current exhibitions in Sydney, as well as exploring national and overseas events.

The Lead Editors for this issue have been Year 10 students Imogen Zimmerle and Maya Shearing with Zoe Lindner in the role of Special Features Writer.

Being part of the SCOPE team helps develop your research and analytical skills, builds your collaborative and critical thinking, and enables you to meet new friends and create new relationships and contacts both in the student community and in the vast network of artists, and art world practitioners associated with SCEGGS.

This is a bumper issue focusing on past and present changes within the art world. You can access the online version of SCOPE here or hard copies are available in the Secondary School Library and from the Art Staffroom.

Congratulations to all the contributors: Imogen Zimmerle (Year 10), Amelia Ransom (Year 11) , Bridgette Dunlop (Year 11), Coco Riminton (Year 12), Mia Butcher (Year 10), Portia Palmerlee (Year 12), Zoe Lindner (Year 10) and Maya Shearing (Year 10).

This week’s banner is a work from Year 12 student Holly Salter’s Body of Work titled: Crossroads.
