From the Chaplain

This is the last week for our Year 12 students and it always comes with a bit of sadness for me. I have known some of these students and their families for the last 13 years (some even longer) and it has been a privilege to watch all of them grow and to get to know them over whatever time their school journey has been at SCEGGS. I hope that they will be well supported in whatever they do and know that this is still, and always will be, their community. My thoughts and prayers go with you Class of 2023!!

The SCEGGS Podcast “Walk The Mile” Episode 43: Seeing the Full Story

In this episode I speak to one of our Alumni, Vivienne Smith (Class of 2008), about her career as an adventure documentary film maker and world traveller. We discuss her experience of different cultures and landscapes and how that has impacted who she is today. Viv also explains the new app that she is involved with that takes the viewer to the locations of a whole range of famous movies and television shows. Her story about documenting other people’s stories is exciting and eye opening. I hope you enjoy our conversation.

And a reminder that we are published on Spotify, Apple, Google Podcast and Deezer, so you can access it easier from your preferred device. I always welcome your feedback or any ideas you may have for further episodes. You will find each podcast as they are produced in this newsletter and on the other platforms as well as our website.
