Well done to Emma Juneja in Year 12 who was selected for the National Futures Training Camp to play and train in Melbourne last weekend. Emma was one of 4 NSW players to be selected in the group of 44 U’17 players from around the country. Not surprisingly Emma was also nominated for a Rising Star Award in the Premier League earlier in the season. Emma will now be focusing on the HSC for the next few weeks before getting back into training again. We look forward to following her progress with the Sydney Swans.

Equestrian

Congratulations to Chloe Copp in Year 12 who placed 4th in the Young Rider Class (Under 21) at the Tamworth World Cup Equestrian Event. We wish her well as she now focuses on the HSC for the next few weeks.

IGSA Hockey

SCEGGS 1 finished the season strongly with a 3-0 win over Ravenswood to place 6th in S01 playing against the “best of the best”. We say farewell to many of our Year 12 players who have been in the Senior 1st team over several years. It was an emotional morning for everyone, especially Head Coach James Birkefeld who has coached many of these players since primary school.

SCEGGS 2 faced some tough opposition throughout their season and finished 8th in S03.

SCEGGS 3 finished 5th in S04 and narrowly missed out on semi-finals.

SCEGGS 4 finished 4th and were defeated by Ascham 3-0 in their semi-final on the weekend.
