Easts Touch                                     

Well done to all our touch teams who played in the Easts Touch Grand Finals on Saturday in very hot conditions. SCEGGS had a very successful morning winning five grades and were named the Overall Champion School! The SCEGGS Senior 1st team were also award the Pillinger Cup after defeating Kambala 1sts in a very close and thrilling grand final.

Hornsby-Kuringai District Tennis

Congratulations to the SCEGGS Junior 1st Tennis Team of Mia Lamb, Elizabeth Lapham, Leyla Ozen, Sally Oppenheim and Maddie Philips who won the J01 division after dominating the competition all season.

Good luck to all of the Tildesley Shield Squad who will be hard at work training and playing practice matches this Friday at Parklands Tennis Centre in preparation for the 2021 tournament.

Congratulations to the SCEGGS 2 Futsal team that won the S02 division in the Friday night futsal comp at Ascham.

Special mention to the SCEGGS 5 team who lost an absolute thriller to Ascham in the J02 Grand Final.

 

NSW Interschools Equestrian

Well done to Natalia Randle, Chloe Copp and Maggie-Rose Dunlop who competed at the NSW week at Sydney International Equestrian Centre.

Basketball Coaching throughout the Summer Holidays

SCEGGS Head Coach of Basketball, Mark Handel, will be offering private and small group training over the holidays in the Eastern Suburbs, North Shore and Northern Beaches.

The focus will be on improving skills in the areas of shooting, ball handling, dribbling, passing, rebounding, defence and teamwork.

Mark is passionate about basketball and committed to encouraging and building confidence in young athletes from 7-18 years.

Girls only summer Cricket clinics

Several 2-day cricket clinics for girls aged 10-15 will be held at Sydney University over the holidays.

Dates: Wed 9 Dec, Mon 14 Dec, Thur 7 Jan, Mon 18 Jan 9-3pm (arrival 8:15am -9am)

Players will enjoy professional coaching and the amazing facilities of Sydney University’s St Paul’s Oval, indoor nets and turf nets.

AFL Come and Try Day

SCEGGS held the inaugural AFL Come and Try Day at Moore Park on Tuesday. Nearly 30 students from Year 3 – 6 attended and participated in a range of skills and exercises. There were a lot of smiling faces and everyone appeared to enjoy the afternoon. We look forward to introducing more skills sessions and hopefully entry in the IPSHA competition in 2021.
