Year 9 Camp

It was exciting to see Year 9 students participate in a range of activities in week 9 as part of their Year 9 Camp experience. Students travelled to Stanwell Tops and took part in both challenging and fun activities from the leap of faith, to survivor challenges, to the giant swing, to go-carting, team building activities and night time activities to name a few. Each activity encouraged students to step outside of their comfort zone, and that our Year 9 group did with enthusiasm and bravery.

The students also spent time listening to guest speaker Glen Gerreyn from The Hopefull Institute. Glen challenged students’ thoughts about themselves and their world by looking at the power of purpose, challenging limiting beliefs and becoming unstoppable. This day was full of many take aways about courage and hope.

2022 saw the introduction of the Year 9 Courage Cup. House points were awarded to students when they demonstrated courage. The challenge to take home the cup was welcomed by all of Year 9 with joy and eagerness. A big congratulations to Perroton House our 2022 Year 9 Courage Cup winners.
