Year 8 Students Conquer Puzzles, Logic, and Math Challenges

Energy and enthusiasm filled MSCW  as Year 8 students took part in the annual Inquisitive Minds: Problems, Patterns, Pictures, Puzzles workshop. The interactive event pushed students beyond traditional classroom learning, immersing them in a series of engaging, hands-on mathematical problem solving tasks.

Working in pairs, the students pooled their creative thinking and mental arithmetic skills to tackle a wide variety of numerical and visual logic challenges. The atmosphere was electric, with team members actively strategising, testing solutions, and celebrating their discoveries.

A major highlight of the day was the fast-paced competitive race, where teams raced against time to solve high-level puzzles for a chance to win a box of chocolates. Congratulations to all Year 8 participants for their remarkable perseverance, teamwork, and sharp mathematical thinking!
