Year 12: Using Trial Exam Feedback to Build Momentum
Year 12 students have now completed their Trial HSC Examinations and received their results and feedback. The feedback from Trials is the most valuable set of insights students will receive before the HSC, as these exams closely mirror the structure, intensity, and expectations of the final examinations.
Students are encouraged to use their Trial experience; the successes, the challenges, and the detailed teacher feedback to guide their preparation for the HSC, now just over a month away. This period is often when students experience the most significant growth in their marks, provided they maintain consistent study routines and balance their preparation with healthy habits and self‑care.
Families can support this process by continuing open conversations at home, helping students plan ahead, and encouraging them to act on the feedback they have received.
Year 11: Preparing for Preliminary Examinations
Preliminary Examinations are fast approaching, and for Year 11 this will be the largest and most comprehensive set of exams they have completed to date. Preparing well in advance is essential. Students should be planning their study across the coming weeks, mapping out when they will revise each subject, and avoiding last‑minute cramming.
