Year 10 Camp – The Collaroy Centre

The Year 10 camp was an exhilarating experience filled with a variety of activities that left us all with fond memories. When we arrived, the Collaroy Centre greeted us with morning tea and a quick run down of our itinerary. We then continued with an assortment of challenges that confronted our fear of heights such as abseiling and giant swing. We worked on our team building skills through communication and amplified the skill of being resilient.

Resilient to pick ourselves up every time something did not work out or we thought we “couldn’t do it”. Not to mention the beach hike, that was an afternoon happily spent in the sun. With 6 meals a day, we were definitely well fed and looked after. Filled with constant reassurance from our friends, Year 10 camp was an experience full of support and encouragement. In particular our teachers who were there every step of the way, watching us complete activities and having a laugh with us.

We would like to thank them, especially, Ms Gagliano and Mr McLean, for dedicating their time to accompany us and organising a trip with memories that will last a lifetime.
