From the Heads of House Coordinator

Beginning this term, I have had the great privilege of stepping into the role of Heads of House Coordinator, previously held by Andrew Simos.

The House system represents, in my opinion, one of the school’s main sources of joy, belonging, and community. Sad as it is to have to relinquish my role as Head of Leawarra House, I feel honoured to work to shape how our ten Houses continue to inspire colour and joy into the future.

Term 4 marks the beginning of a renewed G.A. Davey Cup campaign for each of our Houses. Following Mooramoora’s repeat success in 2026, I know that the House Captains and Heads of House are already keenly working to stake their claim to victory in 2027. The first House event this year will be the Christmas Dance Challenge on the final day of term: a personal favourite event of mine, which never fails to deliver on creativity, passion and noise.

I am pleased to announce the following updates to staffing of our Houses:

  • Kate Drady — Head of Booralee House. After serving as Acting Head of House this year, Kate will continue in the role in a permanent capacity.
  • Julia Lindblom — Head of Leawarra House. Julia joins the team, bringing a creative vigour and fresh perspective to Leawarra.

The Heads of House team’s diversity and eclecticism is its strength; each Head of House brings their own personal flavour, and I am very excited to see how these leaders go about shaping their visions for Booralee and Leawarra going forward.

Best of luck to all Houses as they launch their 2027 campaigns for the G.A. Davey Cup!
