Year 10 Commerce Students Named National Winners!
Congratulations to our Year 10 Commerce students on an outstanding achievement in the EBE Build Your Own Enterprise Competition.
As part of their Nature of Business unit, students worked in teams to put their entrepreneurial skills into action, developing an original business concept and creating a plan to bring their idea to market.
Two MLC School teams progressed to the national final on the evening of Monday 19 October with support from Jocelyn Jabbour-Perez: CycleBites, from Thomas McCosker’s class, and The Twilight Archive, from Helen Kondos’ class.
We are delighted to congratulate

CycleBites developed an innovative chocolate range designed around the different stages of the menstrual cycle. Their four chocolate bar concepts, Restore, Boom, Glow and Unwind, were designed to respond to changing nutritional needs throughout the cycle.
The Twilight Archive developed a high-school-specific study café concept for Chatswood, designed to provide students with a dedicated alternative to overcrowded study spaces. Their concept included individual study pods, group study rooms, a barista and study snacks to support students during their study sessions.
Congratulations to our finalist teams and to all Year 10 Commerce students who developed and submitted their enterprise ideas. Their creativity, initiative and entrepreneurial thinking were outstanding.
