Sport Report
Another action-packed week of MLC School sport, with our students continuing to Dare to Be More across all levels of competition.
Last Friday, 26 Senior School athletes represented MLC School at the 101st IGSA Athletics Championships at SOPAC. Following a successful 2025 campaign, MLC School moved into Division 2 this year, and our athletes performed exceptionally well, finishing 12th overall from 28 schools.
Some of our strongest results came in the Junior events, which is an exciting indication of the continued growth of MLC School Athletics.
A standout performance came from Year 7 student Chloe Pun, who not only claimed Gold but set a new IGSA 13 Years 100m record, crossing the line in an outstanding 12.58 seconds. Congratulations, Chloe!
Our Junior Track and Field athletes also competed at the IPSHA Championships this week, with a strong MLC School team producing a number of impressive personal bests.
We look forward to celebrating the achievements of our Junior and Senior School athletes in a dedicated Athletics feature in next week’s newsletter, so stay tuned!
We are now well into Term 3, with the IGSA and ERNA Saturday competitions entering their final rounds. Our teams are battling for valuable points as they push towards the finals, and we wish all our athletes and coaches the very best for the remaining rounds.
Have a great weekend!
