World’s Greatest Shave

World’s Greatest Shave

Every day another 47 Australians are diagnosed with a blood cancer; so now, more than ever your donations mean so much to families struggling with a blood cancer diagnosis.

The Year 12 Charity Committee’s World’s Greatest Shave Day was held on Monday of Week 10 in support of the Leukaemia Foundation. The day was a success with over $1,000 raised and saw Mr Prasad, Mr Morrison, Mr Pawley, and Mr Longfield shave, as well as many teachers sprout some colourful hair.

The Shave Day was initially positioned to take place Week 10 Term 1, however with the advent of COVID-19, it was postponed by two terms. Despite the logistical restructuring due to the pandemic, the day was a success. I would like to thank Ms Cameron for supporting the event’s new incarnation, as well as all the teachers who have bravely chosen to shave or dye their hair.

Our goal of $30,000 is yet to be reached and at $30,000, Ms Arcamone will shave her head. That means we are only $7,000 away from seeing a BALD MS ARCAMONE!

Every cent provides crucial assistance. I know these are tough times, but imagine the trials facing families who are enduring a life-altering cancer diagnosis.
