WA Chapter Conference – Save the date!

WA Chapter Conference – Save the date!

Save the WA Chapter Conference Date – Wednesday 21 August 2019 at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

The conference will again be a one day format although the structure of the day has changed.  Our goal is to make sure that each delegate takes away with them a variety of ideas to implement into their school or university.

Keynote this year is: Peter Hutton.

Director of the Future Schools Alliance, Peter Hutton has been a school leader in four state and independent schools for the last 25 years. His strength is transformational insight and HOW to implement change in schools.

Additional areas of expertise include change management, student entrepreneurship, alternative tertiary pathways, supporting dyslexic students and futurism.

Peter was appointed Principal of Templestowe College (TC) in 2009. It was a “broken” school with just 286 local students and 23 Year 7s. Today, TC has over 1,150 students and has recently been recognised by Finland’s HundrED organisation as one of the most innovative schools in the world.

As a person with dyslexia, Peter sees the world differently, and has spent his life challenging assumptions and conventions. Drawing on the latest research and proven methodologies, Peter is committed to working with other school leaders to significantly improve the lives of young people by transforming the education system to equip students for times of exponential change.

Peter will also be running a workshop for Leaders on ‘Leading the EDRevolution in your school and classroom’.  We are hoping some of your Principals would like to come for this session.

Following the keynote address, attendees will attend a variety of short presentations from 5 – 15 minutes from speakers including our own industry leaders from Institutions in Western Australia.  In the afternoon we will be breaking into workshops.

We are so excited to secure Ann Badger to run a workshop on Annual and Regular Giving but also the day before (Tuesday 20 August) Ann will be running a Bequest Masterclass as well.
