President’s Welcome

It gives me great pleasure to write my first article as Educate Plus VIC-TAS President.

I wish to thank everybody who has welcomed me into the role with such enthusiasm. I very much appreciate all of your emails and phone calls.

Can I start by thanking our former President and current Vice President, Maria Mercuri for all of her amazing work over the past three years. Maria has worked exceptionally hard at representing our membership and has formed wonderful relationships with a huge percentage of members. Maria’s work in pulling off a stunning State Conference in 2017 was exceptional!

Our Committee met for the first time last week and we are really looking forward to representing our members in a very positive manner. Our aim this year is very simple : to ensure that our members have access to the best possible professional development and mentoring opportunities across all pillars.

During the course of 2018, our chapter will be providing no less than six Special Interest Group (SIG) and Professional Development (PD) opportunities. We encourage our members to diarise these as they are announced. We are pleased to provide details of our first event of the year to be held at Haileybury City on Thursday 22 March.
