From the REC: In our Church …

Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul (29 June)

The Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul invites our school community to pause and remember two very different people whom God shaped into pillars of the Church. Peter, a fisherman with a generous heart, often stumbled yet never stopped returning to Christ. Paul, once a fierce persecutor, became one of the Church’s boldest missionaries after encountering the risen Jesus.

Together, they remind us that God works through real, imperfect people – people who doubt, who change, who grow, who begin again. Their lives show that faith is not about having everything sorted, but about allowing God to transform us from the inside out.

For our Domremy community, this feast remind us to:

• Take Courage, like Peter, who learned to trust Jesus even when the path was uncertain.
• Be people of Conviction, like Paul, who used his gifts to share the Gospel with passion and hope.
• Be United, because both men, despite their differences, worked together for the mission of Christ.

As we honour Peter and Paul, we pray that our community may be strengthened in faith, bold in love, and ready to be signs of Christ’s presence in our world.

Prayer

Loving God,  

On this feast of Saints Peter and Paul,

we thank You for their courage, their faith,

and their willingness to follow Your call.

Give us Peter’s trust when we feel unsure,

and Paul’s passion when we are called to serve.

Help us to use our gifts generously,

to speak words that build up,

and to work together for the good of others.

Bless our school community with unity,

with hope,

and with a deep love for the Gospel.

May we, like Peter and Paul,

become people who bring light, truth, and compassion

to everyone we meet.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
