Festival on Forbes
Our Fair Committee are excitedly planning and preparing for our wonderful Festival on Forbes on Sunday 23 August.
Here are some ways you can get involved:
Support Our Silent Auction
The SCEGGS Festival on Forbes Silent Auction is a wonderful celebration of community, generosity and connection. Funds raised will support the growth of our scholarship program, helping more local students from diverse backgrounds access a SCEGGS education.
We are seeking prize donations to help make this year’s auction a success. Voucher donations are especially popular, including dining experiences, shopping vouchers, wellness treatments, family activities, accommodation stays and professional services.
Your contribution will not only support an important cause but also provide valuable exposure for your business within the SCEGGS community.
To donate a prize, please email Bree Parker in the Development Office.
Thank you for your support.
Vintage & Second-Hand Wardrobe Stall
School holidays are the perfect time for a wardrobe refresh!
As you’re clearing cupboards and making room for the season ahead, we’d love you to set aside pieces for the Festival on Forbes Vintage & Second-Hand Wardrobe Stall.
This isn’t simply a second-hand stall – it’s a curated, second-life clothing market, built from thoughtful donations from our school community. At every festival, families discover incredible finds, from everyday essentials to designer treasures. And every donation helps make the stall a success.
We’re looking for quality pre-loved fashion across all brands and price points – everything from Aldi to Armani, Supre to Scanlan, Zara to Zimmermann! If it’s something you’d happily pass on to a friend or purchase yourself, we’d love to receive it.
And we are once again featuring a designer collection, so those beautiful pieces hiding at the back of your wardrobe are very much appreciated!
Quality matters
To create a stall that our community is excited to shop from, we ask that all donations be:
- Clean and freshly laundered
- In excellent wearable condition
- Free from stains, holes, damage or excessive wear
- Something you would feel proud to pass on
We kindly ask that heavily worn, damaged or stained items be directed to other textile recycling or donation channels such as Upparel.
This stall relies on many volunteer hours behind the scenes. The more care taken when preparing donations, the more time our volunteers can spend creating a beautiful, sustainable shopping experience for everyone — and the less ends up as waste.
Donation collection will begin Friday 24 July (Term 3, Week 1). Further information and reminders regarding clothing and other Festival on Forbes donations is available below.
Donation Drop-Offs
A drop-off zone will be available every Friday morning from 24 July in the Forbes Street car park, just before the Green Gate. There will be special parking spots reserved for donations to be unloaded – look out for the Festival on Forbes volunteers in high vis from 7.45am! Click here for a step-by-step guide on how to make your drop-off.
