As part of their study of the Vietnam War, our Year 10 students had the opportunity to 

to participate in the Vietnam Veterans Education Program. This involved our students participating in a three-hour workshop, led by former army veteran Vin Cosgrove OAM and his wife Nancy. This is the twelfth year the Cosgroves have visited our school and contributed to the education of MMCC students. As part of their presentation our students were able to listen to first-hand accounts of soldiers in the Vietnam war, listen to songs inspired by experiences of the war, ask questions regarding what war-time was like and engage with primary sources and dress-up. Additionally our students were able to reflect on the nature of modern-warfare and conflicts ongoing in the world today.  A truly invaluable experience for our year 10 students. A big thank you to Miss Katrina Vo, for her organisation and Mr and Mrs Cosgrove for putting together an enriching educational experience.
