Parent Evening with Dr Wayne Warburton

The Links Between Social Media Use, Brain Development and Emotional Regulation (hosted by Marist Catholic College North Shore)

Marist Catholic College North Shore kindly extends an invitation to other Sydney Catholic Schools to offer their parents an opportunity to attend a presentation by Dr Wayne Warburton on Wednesday 11 May 2022.

Dr Wayne Warburton is a psychologist and Associate Professor of developmental psychology at Macquarie University. He has spoken to numerous educators and parents over the last 15 years, particularly related to media use. His publications in scientific journals and books are primarily on topics around aggressive behaviour, the impact of violent and pro-social media, and screen overuse and addiction. This presentation has a particular focus on the links between social media use, brain development and emotional regulation.

The presentation will take place on Wednesday 11 May from 5.30pm – 7.00pm. Parents are welcome to attend by connecting to the live streaming.
