International School Nurse Appreciation Day

While there isn’t a specific ‘School Nurse Appreciation Day’ in Australia, the main day to celebrate nurses, including school nurses, is International Nurses Day, which is on Wednesday 6 May 2026.

We recognise and celebrate the incredible work of our School nurses. Every day, they provide care, compassion, and reassurance to our students and staff – often being the calm and steady presence in moments when it’s needed most.

From managing student health needs and supporting wellbeing, to responding to unexpected situations with professionalism and kindness, their contribution to our School community is invaluable. Their work often happens quietly behind the scenes, yet it makes a significant difference to the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of everyone at our school.

We thank our School nurses for their dedication, expertise, and genuine care. Our community is stronger and healthier because of you.
